“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

– Winston Churchill

To tell the story of SS Cargo Lines, is to tell the story of two generations of hard work and integrity.

In 1985, Mr. Baick bought his first truck and started SS Cargo Lines. The company was founded under the same core values it, still, strongly carries today: customer support, safety, teamwork, and community. After a lot of hard work and relationships built in the business, the company went from a one-man business to hiring its first driver.

As business started to take off and demands for our service increased, young Jason started helping his father by driving and learning the business. That part time gig eventually turned into a full-time job; a passion for the business of trucking and its culture was born. It was clear to Mr. Baick that his son had strong traits that made him very special, and an exemplary candidate to work on the trucking business.

Finally in 2012, at 25, Jason bought the business from his father- with all the money he had saved from working long hours at the company for years.

Today, Jason and his wife continue working hard on growing the business and carrying its core values. Welcoming new team members to the team that consists of drivers that used to work for Mr. Baick.

He believes his team is his biggest accomplishment in the business.
